Study Participants Needed for the Control Your Craving Program

Control Your Craving Progra

DearĀ  Friends,

I am writing to inform you about a research study to develop the online Control Your Cravings Program. You may be eligible to participate in this study. The study is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. I am the principal investigator. My team is requesting help from 20 persons who are being treated for issues that involve problematic cravings, (e.g., cravings for alcohol, tobacco, food, prescription drugs, street drugs, gambling, sex) to advise us in the development of the program. We want your help in designing a program that people with problematic cravings will find to be understandable, easy to use, and effective. The program will be presented online; you will be able to participate on your own computer at home. This study is completely voluntary.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to review portions of the program. After reviewing each component of the program, you will be asked to answer a series of questions online concerning your opinions about the content and the educational and technical aspects of the program. Each review is expected to take approximately 1 hour, for which you will receive $50. We anticipate that there may be up to 10 reviews. If you complete 10 reviews, you will receive a total of $500 as compensation for your time.

To determine if you qualify, please review the consent form and fill out the online form at http://craveconsent.speedsurvey.com. You must have access to a computer with internet access, be between the ages of 21-80, and be able to speak, read, and write English. After reviewing the consent form, please contact me at 602-751-5433 or at linda.ruehlman@goalistics.com if you have additional questions. Otherwise, we will contact you if you are eligible for participation.

Sincerely,
Linda Ruehlman, PhD
